The Best Airbnbs for your Bayfield Peninsula Elopement

The Bayfield Peninsula is by far my favorite area in Wisconsin for elopements. It is full of waterfalls, beaches, hiking trails, and Lake Superior overlooks. The best part is, there are so many hidden gems away from the main Bayfield hub, and adorable stays to go with them. Let’s go over my top five favorite places to stay in the Bayfield Peninsula.

The Acorn of Little Sand Bay

This is an A-frame cabin located in the far north section of the Bayfield Peninsula near Little Sand Bay. It’s based on 10 acres of wooded land, which would be perfect for a first look or private vows. The interior give a cozy moody vibe, and there is a fire pit outside for a post elopement campfire.

South Shore A-Frame

Located in Herbster, this cozy A-frame is on five acres of land surrounded by evergreen and birch trees. Again, plenty of private wooded space for a first look, photos, or private vows! The interior give a light and bright vibe and has a fireplace. Outside you have a fire pit and wood swing to relax after your elopement. You have views of Lake Superior from the driveway, and it’s only a few minutes walk to get to the beach.

Romantic Vineyard Cabin

This romantic A-frame is one of my favorites on this list. It is located just outside the town of Bayfield, inside a beautiful vineyard and Bayfield’s Fruit Loop. The Scandinavian style cabin has a sauna and plunge pool, and is dog friendly for a small fee. The deck would be a perfect spot for a first look or to sit outside and enjoy coffee in the morning.

Superior Sunsets at West Slope

This modern home is located on the far west point of Cornucopia on a sandstone cliff overlooking Lake Superior. It has a unique interior with a big round window and modern furniture. The cliff overlooking Lake Superior would be a perfect place for vows, a picnic, or a first look with both privacy and stunning views. It also has a deck and fire pit, which would be great to have coffee and write down your vows in the morning, or relax after your day with s’mores.

Camp Clover Storybook Cabin

This pet friendly log cabin style stay located in Herbster, comes with a sauna and outdoor bbq area. The bbq area is a covered shelter with string lights, a picnic table, grill, and cozy chairs. Imagine cooking your elopement dinner here and then relaxing in the sauna at the end of your day. The interior has a warm and inviting log cabin feel, with a stone fireplace and unique rounded windows. The living room would be a perfect place to cozy up and write down your vows on a chilly fall morning.
